Perfect angle for my irritable wrists and shoulders. Hits the lats but also the biceps with a heavy weight. My opinion is that it not only substitutes for curls but is superior.
The supinated grip feels great on my lats. Best thing is I also stimulate the biceps a little more. Get it you will not be disappointed.
Incredible for lat work without comparison with imitations!
I was already impressed with the medium grip neutral MAG that I've owned for a couple years, though I started to feel that it worked better for horizontal rows rather than pulldowns. Meanwhile, I had purchased a standard pulldown bar, alternating between using a wide pronate grip and a close supinate grip depending on my monthly program. But I started to notice that the strength of my grip, particularly for close supinate work, was holding me back from squeezing out the necessary reps to really hit my lats adequately. My forearms and biceps would tire before I could really get my lats fatigued. Well, that's all over now that I have this close grip supinate MAG. As with all of the MAG grips, the combination of optimal wrist angle and increased surface area for your hands means you can fully focus on pulling with your back and not your arms. Can't recommend it enough.
This may be my favorite attachment out of all. It’s perfectly designed to enable the user to handle more weight in good form. Great job!
This piece of equipment top of the line. Quality couldn't be better and when doing rows it hits your back differently than other handles. It takes your grip out of the equation amazingly well. I 100% recommend these handles over any other ones. They are worth the extra money.
I bought two grips to start with, the grip feels great in my hands, and really targets the back well by allowing a bit more elbow/shoulder blade retraction, more than the triangle row attachment. The build is excellent, the grip feel is soft but somewhat firm. I did have some difficulties at first with my Rep Ares getting the grip to sit right when attached (oddly twisted and would not level out) but, once I put another carabiniere into the mix, one on the inflexible rep hook up point and one on the MAG grip it functioned perfectly. This is a REP issue not a MAG grip issue. I can't wait to get the rest of the collection,
Not many words can describe the intensity of the middle of the back being worked with Just this bar amazing
Maximum Advantage Grip (MAG) are held in really high regard in the fitness community and after receiving these and putting them to work, I can see why. Correct anatomical positioning allows the user to really focus on the mind-muscle connection. I have to acknowledge, I seem to favour the pronate versions but they’re all fantastic. Great construction, I expect these will last as long as I wish to use them at this stage in my life. Also, kudos to MAG for great packaging. One of my parcels was a bit roughed up, but it looks like it may have been opened in transit. Fortunately, MAG’s superior wrapping and packaging preventing all but some superficial scuffing.
If you’re on the fence about these, take the leap. Great equipment that will last a lifetime.
